Introduction: Adolescence is a time of incredible growth, change, and challenge. As life coach, my focus is on empowering girls with tools, strategies, and support that will guide them through the challenges of adolescence and to support parents along the way. My coaching program promotes positive self-esteem, action, accountability, and achievement of goals. Working from a foundation of trust and respect, girls will feel happy, successful, and directed. Topics addressed in life coaching, include, but are not limited to the following: * self-esteem * setting and achieving goals * handling stress and pressure * understanding and dealing with friendships * adolescent relationships (boys!) * family challenges I also create and teach yoga empowerment workshops for preteens, teens, and mother-daughter pairs. Yoga encourages self-confidence, self-acceptance and inner-strength and is a wonderful complement to life coaching.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

It's essential that you have a strong, trusting rapport with a coach, especially one who is working with your daughter. I recommend taking advantage of the free strategy session, so you can get an initial feel for the coach and judge whether or not he/she is a good fit for your daughter.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

A coach is someone who believes in mom and dad’s message but isn’t mom or dad. If your teen is not listening to you, that does not mean you are a bad parent, it means you’re parenting a teenager. -Josh Shipp, Teen Expert/Author The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation found that teens with mentors/coaches: -Have better school attendance; a better chance of going on to higher education; and better attitudes toward school. -Have fewer negative youth behaviors. -Have positive social attitudes and relationships. -Trust their parents more and communicate better with them.
