Introduction: I enjoy working along side my clients. I feel that absolute collaboration, if the client wants that, is vital to the overall vision and final design.
You can see in my work that the design varies from client to client. While I may have a certain aesthetic, I strive to have my clients individual design-style shine through.
I love design from the beginning to the end of the process. I enjoy creating spaces that my clients feel is theirs alone, unique and specific to their home or workspace. For me design is not work, it is something that I am passionate about and is reflected in my day-to-day life and experiences.

She keeps a strong focus on the project for you, reducing the stresses and headache that can come with a design and renovation. And best of all, she listens. We hired Jennifer to help us with a kitchen and bath remodel, as well as space planning, lighting, paint, and furniture for the whole home. She really made an effort to understand what we were looking for and to make design suggestions that were elegant and fit our personal style. She was also able to suggest things that I would never have thought of, but that ended up being such a perfect fit in our home. She is incredibly patient and keeps working on things until they are perfect. Her pricing is super reasonable, and I think in the long run she has actually saved us money by passing on discounts and helping us find stuff within our budget.
Our project is ongoing and I am so happy to have found her. Jennifer is an incredible designer and I give her my highest recommendation, without reservation.

I have done two projects with Jennifer Nichols Design. I found her via Thumbtack. The first job was a moderate remodeling and total redecorate for my dining room, tv room, foyer, and living room. I described the look and feel I was going for and Jen worked with me to make it a reality. The process was totally fun and cooperative. She introduced me to many sources that I wasn't aware of. Sometimes they seemed too expensive to me, and she would find a vendor in a price range that made me more comfortable. She would always roll with the punches when I showed up with major purchases (like two velvet club chairs) that I bought on impulse. Sometimes her design eye contradicted my own instinct. When I decided to follow her advice, I was never disappointed (i.e. dark trim in a white room).
In my second project, Jen has been my design consultant for a refacing of the exterior of my house, bringing it into alignment with the newly decorated interior. This second time around has been much the same, but with fewer details and more project management on her part. She has followed up with the subs to keep them on the time schedule and to fix problems. When we meet with them, she knows the right questions to ask. She has worked with the city on my permitting as well, saving me from a big headache! I feel comfortable having her make color and texture decisions for me, saving me time and hassle (only one trip to the paver people, for example).
Overall, I have greatly enjoyed working with Jennifer Nichols Design on these projects. I would recommend her without reservation. Oh, and she passes her designer discount on to the client. Win!

Jennifer helped us design our small office. Her experience helped us make decisions quickly and saved us time and expense. She has an eye for design and character, takes the time to understand what her customer wants and works within budgets. The result was an awesome space which is loved by our employee's and visitors.
