- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
So much technical and trade information can be found online nowadays. Especially on sites like Youtube where many top companies and photographers are now constantly making informational and trade videos.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into my line of work by accident. At the age of 19 I was going to be traveling to Barbados on a surfing trip for about 1 month. I had asked my family as a Christmas gift to receive a video camera. Instead I received a photographic camera. I used the new camera down in Barbados and when I returned my friends and family encouraged me to start taking more pictures. I began photographing my friends surfing and immediately started to get my images published in surf magazines. When I moved to San Diego at 21 years old, I was fated to study, intern, and work for a legendary surfing photograph named Aaron Chang. Besides surfing I was exposed to many different types of photography such as portraiture, candids, landscapes, fashion & modeling. The rest of the story can be see in my body of work on my website.
