Jon has been the perfect instructor for me. Trying to learn guitar as college student, I needed someone who could make learning guitar a fun and relaxing experience that didn't feel like more work. All of the chords, rhythms, and techniques Jon taught me were in the context of a song, which was fun and a great way to motivate me to practice! Five years later, Im more passionate than ever about the guitar and Jon has been helping me develop my skills in live performance, something Ive always wanted to do. Jon is a competent teacher who can certainly give you all the fundamentals of guitar. However, more importantly, he makes the learning process enjoyable and gives you the tools to be a musician for life.

Have been learning guitar with Jon for about a year now. Started off with absolutely no musical ability at all, 1 year in and I've just been playing along with Brown Sugar by the Stones - all down to Jon's lessons. Jon is a great guitar teacher: really fun, very encouraging, brings a wealth of knowledge to his teaching: all of which makes for really enjoyable and successful lessons. Guitar classes have become something I really look forward to each week. Very happy I have Jon as my teacher and highly recommend him to anyone who is interested in learning or improving.

Jon is a dedicated and very professional instructor. He picks great songs to practise on and knows how to tailor a lesson to one's skill level. Easy going and fun as well. Highly recommended.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes. I just recently did a guitar camp with the amazing Richard Thompson. Learning everything from songwriting to hybrid picking.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been playing in bands since i was a teenager. It's what I love to do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Deconstructing songs so they can learn them step by step.
