FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I believe: * that my role as a counselor is to be a companion, guide and soul-friend - gently supporting and encouraging you along the path to healing, self-discovery and self-acceptance. * that it is important to take a holistic approach to psychotherapy wherein the emotional, physical, and spiritual (mind, body and spirit) aspects of your life are integrated into a functional wholeness and lasting hope. * that you have the ability to uncover the hidden answers to your problems. I encourage you to connect with your own unique internal wisdom and inner voice. If you are a Christian, I believe that the Holy Spirit will reveal the answers to you if you open yourself to listening for His voice.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be afraid to shop around, meet several therapists and find someone that you feel comfortable with. No counselor should ever make you feel uncomfortable or guilty if it isn't a good fit. I offer 50% off your initial consultation for just that reason...so you don't have to spend quite so much trying to find the right person to help you with your particular needs.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I know that many people are anxious about finding a new counselor/therapist. It takes a lot of courage to sit down and share your heart with a stranger. I would want potential clients to know that I do my best to make the experience comfortable. I am warm and easy-going and I think that helps make the first session (and subsequent ones) easier.
