Introduction: I'm the only female guitar instructor around. Since a majority of my students are female and teenaged, parents are completely comfortable with my presence. I teach all ages as well. My youngest is 10 and my oldest student is 63. I also include music theory with all of my lessons; voice or guitar. Another thing that I feel strongly about is I don't teach for less than 45 minutes. Schools that offer 30 minutes aren't giving their students enough time to really learn and absorb.
When I see a student click with what their learning, it is the most rewarding feeling in the world.

As a child I used to sing but stopped when my voice changed. I had no music training in over 25 years so I was very much a beginner.
Her studio is clean, comfortable and well light with a big window. Our first lesson she listened to my goals and we talked about the types of music I would enjoy singing.
Kristin and her teaching methods are very reassuring. When my progression has become stuck she often has fun games or exercises to work through it. We've done this for mental blocks and learning what throat/tongue/breathing muscle placement. We've discovered my range & worked through a increasingly challenging set of songs to exploit it in the year I've been a student.
As an adult male student I would very much recommend lessons from Kristin. She's very knowledgeable, patient and fun to learn from.
