FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been an actor for 20 years and a filmmaker for 7 years. I know a lot about what it's like being IN FRONT of cameras. I know how to make my subject forget that there's a device between me and them. I am the camera, when they look into the lens, I make sure a little bit of me is in there, so they won't feel lonely. I know how to bring out emotions out of them and natural flowing expression. I know what makes people relax in a situation like that. I know how to get them out of their heads and into their bodies. I know that fear is only there if it is not addressed or talked about. I know how to make them feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. All of my experience of overcoming stage and camera fright, I give to my subjects, while not forgetting the most important element - FUN!

- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Martha's dating coach came to me with a problem: "We need to get her a more natural and casual dating photo". I took one look at her former photo (on left) and i said: "OY VEY!". It was all wrong: The makeup, the clothes, the expression, the composition, the lighting, and the #1 dating photo killer: It looked like a HEADSHOT. So, with professional makeup/hair , the right choice of clothes and accessories, location and Martha with a VERY good mood, we created her new photo, shot in Beverly Hills (on right). As a headshot photographer creating your dating shot, I know how to NOT make it look like a headshot. I will make your photo look candid, casual, like it was taken when you were shopping with a friend and happen to look FABULOUS (because you always do...). Or when you were hiking and just happen to look really sexy that day (because you're sexy 24/7).
