Laya Barak Pilates

Introduction: I am a Pilates Method Alliance certified instructor, and I'm very passionate about my work. I teach all apparatus and mat classes. I am originally a trained dancer and choreographer and has over 10 years of teaching experience. I have been teaching at dance and Pilates studios for years and have a real understanding and knowledge of the body and movement. I have taught hip-hop, street jazz, and Pilates classes throughout New York City at Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Dance New Amsterdam and Alvin Ailey. I have taught workshops and master classes around the US and abroad, including Canada, Cyprus, Israel, and Australia and is currently on faculty as Steps on Broadway and Alvin Ailey. I am also certified in the authentic, classical Pilates method in both mat and reformer/apparatus. I have been teaching both mat class and private reformer class throughout the city, and I'm dedicated to reaching the goals of all my clients. I am also a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
