Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: If you've tried learning to play the piano in the past and didn't succeed OR you've never had formal lessons and want to give a try, I'm going to share something with you. Anyone... and I mean anyone... can learn how to play the piano. It doesn't matter how old you are. It doesn't matter how talented or untalented you think you are. You're human. You're a walking, talking, breathing musical instrument. You just don't know how to get your own awesomeness on to those piano keys. There are definitely things that can get in the way of you playing the piano. They are: #1 - Reading music notes can be CHALLENGING! So challenging, in fact, that you end up reading and not playing. Yes... reading is not the same as playing. #2 - You don't have the time to practice. Work life. Home life. Lots to do and no time to play. #3 - You don't progress quickly enough and get bored... and then quit. Are you ready for the good news? Music is a language, much like English. When you learned your native tongue, you did not learn BY READING AND SPELLING the language first... instead, you learned by listening and imitating. As a baby and toddler you played in sound. You made funny non-coherent sounds that eventually turned into words... and then sentences. Reading did not come first. It came after you'd had several years to practice making sounds into structured sentences. This is natural. This is normal. This is how your brain acquires a mastery over language. How much practice does it take to learn to play well? It's not about the number of minutes, it's about the consistency. A little bit goes a long way! If you can schedule in 15 minutes of practice, 5 days a week, you are going to be amazed at what you can achieve! 15 minutes! Who doesn't have 15 minutes? And with those 15 minutes, 5 days a week, you can expect to progress quickly. Because, again, just like learning a language, you're going to be acquiring a set of tools (an alphabet and vocabulary), then you're going to learn a bunch of different ways to use that set of tools. If you are at all curious about this style of learning, you are invited to attend a Free Introductory Session. Let me fill you in on the best piano method out there! And teach you a song:) Free Introductory Sessions are held online via Zoom every Monday at 3:00pm (PST). Let me know if you'd like to attend! New ONLINE group classes starting each month!
