FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to give the piano an evaluation 1st. It may have such serious problems and is so horrendously ugly that it isn't worth fix. Don't be penny wise pound foolish in getting a piano w/o having it inspected 1st. I hope the customer is regular in having it serviced semi annually or annually.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Every year we have our state convention and national conventions. In addition we have a montly magazine a daily forum which I check. Here in the valley we are fortunate in having some of the best piano technicians in the world, with the best Piano produced in Scottsdale and few excellent retired technicians who are willing to help if you ask them the right question. In fact my son is studying with my mentor twice a week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother was a pianist and always complained about her piano. I was curious about all the weird tools the piano tuner had and decided to learn in High School.
