Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Ask to see copies of patents that the lawyer has written, and arguments that the lawyer has made in court cases. Read those to see if the sentences are clear and understandable.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask the lawyer what kind of grades he made in law school. Ask him or her specifically what his/her class rank was. Find out specifically what the lawyer's experience is with your kind of issue.
