I teach all styles from beginner to advanced including theory, tab and standard notation. All ages are welcome. If you are beginning with no knowledge, looking to get out of your rut, or wanting to expand your fretboard abilities I can help! The most enjoyable thing about teaching music is seeing that lightbulb go on in the students eyes when they "get it." When I can assist in their ability in playing music there is no greater love in teaching.

As an older student who has been playing for thirty-plus years with very little professional instruction, I had concerns about not being able to find a guitar teacher who would be able to break me of my worn-in bad habits. It has been very easy communicating my interests and concerns with Kevin, and his wealth of knowledge of music is very apparent. His approach to teaching is very casual but still maintains direction. My instruction so far has included in-depth scale exercises across the fretboard, music theory & chord construction, popular and classic chord progressions in several genres, exercises in well-known guitar method texts, and just learning how to play a favorite old song. I am always looking forward to my weekly lesson, as does my ten-year-old daughter who has just begun her lessons with Kevin.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Payment is due on a monthly basis at the beginning of each month. Payment shouldbe remitted at the FIRST lesson of each month; and, the amount due will total the cost of the totalnumber of reoccurring weekly time slots in that month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will always ask what your musical background is and what you want to accomplish by taking private lessons. From there I can create a plan for you to make your goals a reality.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing music since I was three years old. I have also been playing and teaching music professionally for 27 years. I studied music in high school and in college.
