FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After being contacted I like to meet with and have a sit down with the customer so that I can get a better feel and feed off their energy and what they are looking for during their session, wedding or event. After the initial meeting all lines of communication are left open for any details that may have been missed. If it's an event I make 2 more important phone call to the client so that they aren't left wondering if I am going to show up.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked for over 10 years with commercial photography companies such as Sears, Picture Me and JCP! I've also been contracted out for private companies such as Portrait Scene for the past 4 years. I've been in business for myself since 1992 and I am able to balance and separate each job.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was about 8 years old, my Dad put his camera in my hands while on a nature walk thru the woods. He told me to take a picture of something "beautiful". I took a picture of some forget-me-nots that were up against an oak tree. Aside from it being a bit blurry once developed my Dad praised me and told me what a great capture it was. He then got me a small point and shoot camera that takes 110 film and I've been at it ever since! I have over 25 years of experience and I always shoot from the heart, I find beauty in everything!
