Introduction: I am a highly experienced full charge bookkeeper with over 23 years of accounting experience, the last 16 years of which I have been self-employed as an independent contractor. I service a wide array of exciting clientele and specialize in various facets of service-based accounting in the creative arena, namely entertainment, agency, fashion/photography, production, event planning and design, amongst others. I possess a broad skill set including familiarity with numerous softwares. In addition to having advanced Excel, Word and Internet skills, my preferred and main financial software is QuickBooks, which I have used for 16 years (I am well-versed on both PC, Mac and Online platforms.) I'm a perfectionist, yet I'm fast at what I do. I am highly flexible and able to jump from task to task as needed, conscientious, thorough and possess an upbeat attitude and great sense of humor! My skills run the gamut of full cycle accounting services, from deposits/cash to trust account management/payables, bank/credit card receivables, invoicing and A/R, payroll (both manually and using a payroll service), sales and payroll taxes, 1099s/W-2s/etc., city business tax, property tax, journal entries, charge backs, petty cash, and quarter and year-end close and dealing/communicating with all of the federal and state tax and employment agencies, required correspondence and record/file keeping/HR paperwork.
