FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! Every day I learn something new from on the job experience. In addition to that, myself and all my dog walkers/sitters keep our Pet First Aid/CPR certifications up to date. I occasionally visit rescues to learn more about caring for other species such as parrots.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My name is Danielle; I own and operate Lola Pet Care- named after my Doberman, Lola. I take pet sitting and dog walking assignments all over Bucks County and NE Philadelphia. I have learned a lot about caring for animals from a very young age; growing up I had cats, dogs, parrots, and critters such as ferrets, turtles, and snakes. I also spent time over the years participating in volunteer work for rescues from the age of 10. During my high school years I worked in a pet supply chain as a pet care specialist. After college, I explored other career options in which I excelled, but I ultimatley decided to pursue my true passion, which is working with animals. Myself and my wonderful team of pet sitters and dog walkers strive to offer the BEST care possible for critters of all kinds, and to offer peace of mind to the humans too! After having volunteered in dog adoptions and a parrot rescue, I all too often saw people surrendering their pets because they could not provide the time commitment that the pet deserved. Although a pet care professional can't solve all of your pet issues, I believe a pet sitter/dog walker can truly make the difference in your relationship with your pet. You can still maintain a busy lifestyle and have the joy of a pet in your home. All you need is a little help! I strongly believe that your pets thrive on routine and familiarity. Their home is their sanctuary, and some animals simply get nervous when boarded at a kennel. A pet sitting service can alleviate that nervousness while guaranteeing that your pets get the food, medicine and attention that they're used to throughout the day. A well exercised dog is less likely to display destructive behavior in your home. Providing a stimulating break during the day could help prevent separation anxiety, which can be painstaking to treat. Because most of us work full time it is almost impossible for us to provide all of what our dogs need without help. Seeking the services of a professional dog walker is a great way to get the help you need. Whether you need dog walking/sitting, cat sitting, or care for other critters, I conform my schedule to fit their normal routines. My business is so much more than a job to me! My goal is to give your beloved pets the same personalized attention, love, playtime, and quality care that you do.
