FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my estimates on the amount of time I think it will take. I've been doing this for 25+ years and have a pretty good idea what it takes to do it right. I won't low ball you to get a job and then add fees later. I respect your time and understand it's worth. I hope you can reciprocate that.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First there is a discussion to understand the scope of the project and their expectations. Then, I share with them what I will provide. I go away and do my thing and come back with design options and we can collaborate to find the best way to proceed to finals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Art Center College of Design in Pasadena is the best school you can go to for the work that I do. Google it. :-) My experience as an Art Director in the advertising world is a serious PLUS. I'm intuitive about good design and it must also make sense.
