Introduction: I've been trained classically, studied voice with many different pedagogues around the world, but my career has been an amalgamation of both classical and rock/jazz/alternative types of performances. With a solid technical foundation, making music and singing expressively in any style or genre becomes second nature. I enjoy hearing all the different types of voices people have and the challenge that comes with solving technical issues. I also really enjoy watching my students perform.

Everyone wants to make sure they're getting their moneys worth when it comes to music lessons & their teachers. Matt is worth every penny. Briefly about myself, I've been involved in music for over 20+ years playing various instruments, so I've had a number of teachers along the way. I'm also the type of guy that has his girlfriend tell him to be quite when singing in the car because my voice is that bad. Far from an ideal situation. Well I may not be going on tour any time soon, my voice has made a vast haul forward. Matt has been a huge help in fixing many of my vocal issues. He's clearly a professional in his field, and his knowledge about his craft is evident immediately. Not only was he able to address my specific issues with voice, but also help correct me while being completely personable. He knows what is applicable and important for the student to learn, and what's unnecessary at the time. He's more than happy to help a student learn a repertoire that they're into musically while still fitting with their voice, or assisting with some of the more classic pieces he helped provide. Like I said I've taken many private lessons along the way in the world of music. Theres some bad teachers out there, an abundance of decent teachers, and a few great teachers. Matt is a great teacher. Book lessons with him, you won't regret it.

Amazing ! I enjoyed all of my time over at MB Studios, LLC . Matthew is awesome he really pushed me to find my voice and vocal range . His exercises are cool it gets you to loosen up and really dig in to the music . He really sees who you are and where you can be . I definitely plan on returning to MB Studios for refreshers ! Highly recommended !

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I study advanced 20th and 21st century composition techniques with Jessica Rudman at Hartt School of Music.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been playing music since I was 5. It's the only thing that's ever excited me.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Lessons in voice, drums, composition, and songwriting. My lessons also include broad music theory and aural skills training. I've owned a recording studio in Bethel, CT for 3 years, where I have several talented guitar and bass instructors on staff.
