Introduction: Hi, I work with individuals, couples, and adolescents struggling with a variety of issues including: relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-esteem, professional development, identity issues, and trauma. My approach to therapy is warm, thoughtful, and collaborative. My primary focus is to understand with you what it is that's causing you pain and hardship. I bring care, creativity, and curiosity into the therapeutic relationship. The success of psychotherapy has a lot to do with building an authentic and safe relationship wherein troubling thoughts and feelings can emerge. Together we can make sense out of these feelings and uncover more truth about what lies within. I help individual adults, teenagers, couples, and families understand patterns they may be stuck in and explore what it is that may be holding them back. Through a depth oriented and relational way of working, I am not only focused on alleviating symptoms, but getting to the root cause of distress. Through this approach, the capacity for a more fulfilling relationship to self and others grows, leading to a richer and more satisfying life. Individual Psychotherapy- I work with individual adults grappling with a ride range of concerns including: relationship difficulties low self-esteem/self-confidence grief and loss depression LGBTQ issues professional/career development life transitions anxiety; panic attacks eating disorders; body image trauma/PTSD substance abuse/recovery identity issues Relationship/Couples Counseling: I work with couples at all different stages of the relationship. Together, we will work on the following: - improving communication - exploring expectations each partner holds - creating a healthy balance of closeness and spaciousness - increasing trust - developing a more fulfilling and satisfying relationship - voicing risky feelings in a safe environment - sexual intimacy Some of the issues I've worked with include communication, sex/intimacy, jealousy, infidelity, financial concerns, anger, (new) parenting, and premarital struggles.
