- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Writing Services: Typically, writing assignments go something like this: 1. We will discuss what you want to accomplish and gather your input. 2. I will prepare a first (rough) draft and submit this to you 3. Upon your review, I will address your comments and corrections and compose a second draft 4. You will review the second draft and make any final comments or changes 5. I will prepare and submit a final draft In the event the writing is for placement in some venue, prior to preparing anything, I will contact the editor and reach an understanding about what they would like from you. After the writing is complete, I will work out the placement details with the venue on your behalf. Writing a Business Plan: I treat writing a business plan as a structured process, organized into 24 or more modules, where, when applicable, each successive module is build upon the information in the previous modules. This ensures a cohesive plan with everything "rooted" to the Mission Statement and the research undertaken to support the plan. I have written or supervised the writing of more than 400 business plans. I teach how to do this to graduate students at New York University. Plans I write are granular. They tend to include more information and "how-to" details, as well as detailed, specific information fully supported by research than plans written by most others. Your Business Plan will be a useful tool you will refer to every month to understand how well you are managing the business you have started and to help you make sound business decisions. I will show you how to go about this. It will help you prosper. Strategic Planning: (this process might vary based upon individual circumstances and requirements) From our initial discussions to my final report, I will approach the engagement as a collaborative partnership with you and your organization. I work directly with your management and staff as appropriate during a discovery phase to: • Establish meaningful objectives for the engagement and identify guiding assumptions and constraints for our combined efforts • Thoroughly research relevant issues and identify opportunities for improvement • Investigate the internal and external influences on a situation using applicable assessment tools and research methods including (as required) custom-designed surveys and interviews. Once this discovery phase is completed, I use the information gathered to evaluate the current situation. I collaborate with your staff to identify alternative solutions and strategies, and recommend the optimal course of action and then suggest meaningful metrics which can be used to monitor the effect of any steps taken. I plan and implement any recommended solutions as required. I train staff to apply new processes, provide whatever coaching and mentoring is needed to ensure the new approaches are successful, and suggest meaningful metrics to monitor their impact. Training: I offer informative and customizable training on a variety of topics in the following areas: • Innovation and Employee Engagement • Planning and Management • Metrics and Analytics • Business Planning Training can be delivered onsite or online in a variety of formats, including: • One-day training modules • Three-day training modules • Week-long seminars • A series of hour-long webinars Ie will meet with you to help identify what you would like to accomplish by training your team. I will customize training modules to achieve your objectives. Training programs can be targeted and delivered to different groups at any level in your organization, from senior management to entry-level employees. My network of highly rated graduate school professors has considerable experience working with a broad diversity of people from different cultures and educational levels. We will design an interesting training program where participants will take away information they can apply immediately. We will deliver training at your facility, or ours.
