- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I gladly offer a trial lesson free of charge to ensure that the student can sample what I can offer, and so that I understand the student's goals in taking lessons. If all goes well, we create a regular lesson schedule that works for both of us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Music from William Jewell College in Missouri and a Master of Music in Flute performance from the University of Missouri. I have performed with ensembles including the Kansas City Symphony, the Liberty Symphony, the Kansas City Wind Symphony, and the University of Missouri New Music Ensemble, among many others, and I also have experience playing in chamber ensembles and as a recitalist and orchestral soloist. I began teaching during my undergraduate studies, and each summer, I work with students at the Birch Creek Music Performance Academy in Door County, Wisconsin. I also teach for Harmony Project KC, a program based in the Northeast Community Center in Kansas City.
