FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee for Face to face counseling sessions may seem high to you if you are new to counseling . The fee figures in my office space rental, my years of school and training to obtain my state license, malpractice insurance, etc. I do not take insurance although my license qualifies me to: private pay provides you with greater confidentiality . If interested it also provides you with an opportunity to have less expensive telehealth sessions online including on mobile devices. In office sessions are 100 dollars/45 minute session with a choice of weekly or every other week. Online sessions are 70 dollars/45 minutes. (FYI the average copay with commercial insurance is 35 dollars/45 minutes) I offer a discount if sessions are paid for four sessions at a time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free brief conversation to determine the new client's wishes, preferences goals. Compatibility is key for this new therapeutic alliance.
