Introduction: Kurt Weinreich Jr. is a certified master trainer at Prestige Fitness in Arvada, Colorado. He is also a former instructor at the National Personal Training Institute, licensing instructor for the National Association of Sports Nutrition and a national presenter for Achieve Academy.
Kurt has several training awards, including an Academic Achievement Award from the International Sports and Sciences Association. In 2008, Kurt was chosen among the top trainers in the company to be a fitness ambassador and assist the U.S. team at the High Performance Training Center in Beijing during the Olympic games, and has been appointed twice to the Colorado Governor's Council for Physical Fitness.
Kurt is also competitive martial artist and self-defense instructor. He recently competed with the U.S. National Stick Fighting team and earned a bronze medal at the World Championships in Cebu, Philippines in 2008 and a silver and gold medal in 2010. He currently trains in ninpo taijutsu, nishio-ryu iaido, and doce pares escrima. He is also a level three certified self-defense instructor. Kurt was selected as the Tokyo Joe's Athlete of the Month for June 2009 and V.I.P. Gear's Athlete of the Month for July 2010.
Besides customized programming for individual goals, Kurt combines traditional free weights and machines, Freemotion, TRX suspension trainer, kettlebells, focus pads and boxing equipment, and more to enhance the functional aspect necessary for a well-rounded training regime.
