FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each project is unique and depends on what sort of services the client wants. For example, is it going to be video? Animation? If animation, 2D or 3D? How long will it be? Will you require a script, storyboard or concept art? As you can see, there are many questions to be answered. However, to give a short answer, I typically say that on average, it costs about $1000/finished minute, whether it's video or animation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been taking further video production classes at Ann Arbor's community television network center. I also occasionally brush up on my software skills by watching lynda.com tutorials.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I studied animation at the University of Michigan School of Art & Design. I self-taught myself video along the way because I quickly learned that many of the personal projects I wanted to pursue included video in some form.
