Music-in-the-Box believes all children learn differently and can be reached within a group setting by incorporating a multi-sensory musical approach to the classroom.

Using a Music-in-the-Box pre-designed music curriculum, or incorporating transition melodies and musical techniques for transition, your early childhood program can move from good to exceptional with our teacher training program.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. The Music-in-the-Box method incorporates sight, sound and movement simultaneously to reach all children through their strongest learning sense. Since 1997, thousands of children have been a part of the Music Masters program in Northern Illinois.

A standard program at Abbott Labs, Walgreens and several preschool and early childhood care centers, Music-in-the-Box educates teachers while engaging the children in their care through music, movement and literature.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Sharing music with children, teachers and incorporating a strong music program into a learning environment. Early childhood development through music is our profession. Using the best research, educational methods, followed by facilitation to parents, teachers and children through our program is our passion.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How are you different from other music programs for early childhood?

We borrow from the natural and multi-sensory learning enviroment of the Montessori method, combine it with the parent-child-teacher triangle and love-based pedigogy of the Suzuki method and add movement, music and literacy to create the best in children's musical learning. We do not reinvent the wheel, but rather learn from the best and bring it together to create a rich, creative program with materials that are available through a variety of sources.
