Introduction: Ashtanga Inspired Power Flow
Ashtanga yoga translates literally as âeight-limbed yogaâ and refers to moral, ethical, and physical guides outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. Ashtanga Yoga traditionally follows a specific sequence of asana "poses". Inspired by the teachings of Sri Patthabis Jois, I link these very postures in my classes through breath and movement, while varying the sequence of postures. Set against the backdrop of dynamic music, I strive to make my classes fun, reflective and engaging at once.
