FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I charge one fee for the cost of the session and that includes the final, edited digital files. Any prints are ordered seperately from an online gallery. I work very closely with my photo printer to ensure the best quality. I do think photos are more enjoyable when they're printed and put in a place where you can see them every day, but I understand that having the digital images is very important too, so I include them in that session fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I find out what they need and decide if what I provide is a good fit. For example, I don't consider myself a wedding photographer - I am a portrait photographer. It's what I love and what I'm best at. I also want to make sure they understand what my style is and that it fits what they have in mind.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my education is in preparing for the session. I help clients understand how we'll get the best photos out of their kids, how to get ready for a session, how to make a newborn happy before a session, give advice on what to wear (if they want/need it). I can also help with deciding on products if that's something they're interested in.
