- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a regular rate of $125, but clients can also apply for sliding scale benefits. If you have insurance, I can offer a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you are a military veteran or the family of a service member, you may qualify for free or low-cost counseling - ask me how!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to the minimum 12 continuing education credits required for counselors per year, I teach continuing education credit classes from time to time through allceus.com. I also lead webinars and consult with other counselors on practice development! I am a member in good standing of The American Counseling Association and the Dallas Metro Counselor Association.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Working with a counselor/therapist/life coach is a very personal process, and it's absolutely normal for it to be something you think on for a while before you decide. It's also perfectly fine for you to email or call several therapists to see which one you have the best connection with. Once you've evaluated the fit logically, go with your gut. Meet with the person that feels right to you.
