Deborah Kampmeier has worked with such actors as Robin Wright, Dakota Fanning, Elisabeth Moss, and Piper Laurie. Her former students include Caitlin Fitzgerald, Audra McDonald, Casey Wilson, and June Raphael.
Through honing deep levels of concentration and relaxation, you will gain the clarity to make powerful choices and the confidence to be alive in the unknown possibilities that happen when you are performing.
Find the missing link in your acting. In a safe supportive environment you will gain access to what you and only you have to offer as a performer.
Classes may be joined at the beginning of each month.
Mondays 10am-2pm
Wednesdays 10am-2pm
You may register for one or both.
The price for...
Once a week (4 classes per month) is $300/month.
Twice a week (8 classes per month) is $500/month.
Classes take place at 150 W. 46th Street, NYC. 7th Floor.

Deborah's class will change your life. Her methods for opening, releasing, freeing your instrument, and becoming more in tune with your self help deepen your acting in ways that transform you as a person. Out of all the acting teachers I've studied with, Deborah has been the most profound, challenging, universal, and strengthening. She has the rare gift of being able to tell the difference between the most subtle shifts, which causes you to dig as deep as you can to be more specific in your choices. She guides you to the core of expressing yourself in the most vulnerable and open ways. A true gem of a teacher.

Deborah is like no other acting teacher in New York City. She goes above and beyond to give each individual student a tailored and unique experience based on the students needs. Deborah Kampmeier is truly a master acting teacher! I have never experienced a teacher more able to work with a variety of students - reach in and set them free. Through teaching scene study and a variety of well designed exercises, she leads students on a journey which deepens their craft, connects them more deeply to themselves, and allows them to work with concentration and relaxation. She creates a classroom that allows actors to take big risks and find their unique voices.
I have studied with her for many years - and I can say that I have never seen a student fail to take giant leaps. I have been in class with students who are completely new and award winning television and film actors. We all get better. Her class is craft and life changing.

In Deborahs class, I am re-learning the process of how to approach the work. This starts with the Self. Deborah teaches us to come from and accept our authentic selves. She creates a space to exercise, exorcise, unlearn habits and to swim in deep and dangerous waters under her keen and masterful eye. I especially value her emphasis on the importance of slowing down our instruments and learning to really focus on all that is involved in doing one thing at time.
