Sherah & The Fine Souls

Introduction: I'm Sherah, the writer and lead singer for The Fine Souls. My smokey, jazz-inflected vocal croons against a backdrop of guitar, upright bass and jazz drum kit. I specialize in writing beautiful, danceable love songs, and I write from a wide range of Roots genres: folk, vocal and Louisiana jazz, blues, soul, pop and early R&B, so the music never gets boring or repetitious. My melodies are memorable, and the lyrics are vivid, poetic, and romantic, reflecting all the various moods of love. I've even written a song about a couple who's watching the sunset, enjoying the memories of their wedding earlier in the day! We play primarily our own love songs, but we will also learn and play up to 8 of your choice of cover songs, especially if you have particular songs in mind for the first dance, the garter and bouquet toss, or other special moments. Bonus item: For an additional fee, I will write a song for you that's based on your personal love story, and we will record it as a single to give to your guests. We'll also perform this song as the first dance! My musicians are among the very best that Austin has to offer, and we have been or are currently a part of other touring bands. We have performed at various wine bars, coffee shops and restaurants around town, as well as at the Hyatt, the Austin airport on the Ray Benson Stage, and at the Continental Club Gallery.
