While enduring wedding planning- the DJ, Food and Alcohol was our main focus. We considered the three vital to please our guests. The DJ- most importantly was key to creating a fun atmosphere for us all to party and celebrate. We had interviewed two DJ's prior to Steve that were "big companies," that were highly recommended. One of them was too busy to even remember our appointment and stood us up. The other, was alright but treated us as if they were doing us a favor by hiring them when in fact we were the customer. Finally, we came across steve who'm coincidentally DJ'ed two weddings that we had attended that were both a heck of a time. Steve was very prompt with returning my email inquiry and set up an appointment immediately. He was very flexible and accommodating with his schedule. When we did meet- my husband and I were blown away by how organized he was. He had his entire equipment/ set up for us displayed and played music and did a sample intro over his microphone so that we could get a feel for his presence. We could tell that he was very serious about his trade and took very good care of his equipment and was always investing in more. There was no hesitation whether or not to book him. The best part was the he is EXTREMELY fair and reasonable with his pricing. We met Steve before the wedding to give him a list of songs, intro information, the names of the bridal party, etc. He was very precise and made it clear that he had every pronunciation correct and every song on the play list correct. He had a lot of experience and advice to give when putting together a play list and song choice as well. We highly recommend Steve to any couple we come across that is planning a wedding or event in general. Nothing but good things to say about himself as a DJ, a professional and a person. Another plus- he had a back up hired in advance just in case an emergency had occurred even LAST minute so that we would be covered.

He was the best DJ. We couldn't have been any happier. He read the crowed so well, played our requests, and kept the party going. Even before the wedding with our meetings with us we could tell he was going to be good. He catered to our style. We had family request salsa songs and he played them right then, they were so impressed. We knew what we wanted but didn't have anything in particular in mind and he read us well. He knows what he is doing for sure! He is honest, gives great suggestions and options, and had an extensive music collection. You can tell he has done lots of different weddings and events. He is do professional, very nice, and a lot of fun. Easy to get a hold of and communicate with. I got so many compliments. At the start of the night I was afraid no one would dance, everyone was still settling I he was trying to get people going. He was persistent and kept it moving, got people dancing till the very last song! He helped to make our night really memorable and fun!

Our experience with Our Amps Go To 11, was awesome from the very beginning. Steve was very informative with our first initial meeting, making us feel comfortable, and giving us a very big insight on how our wedding day would be coordinated from a dj standpoint, the choice was clear to us even after our first meeting. He was diligent to keep in touch, over the next few months of our wedding planning. When we agreed to book him as our dj, he emailed us all the proper paperwork we would need to complete our dj service. Our next meeting shortly before our wedding day, was once again organized and informative. We felt like he was actually putting us in that exact day and moment. He made sure every single detail of our entire night was going to be absolutely perfect, he worked with us to make sure we got everything we wanted and didnt want musically, and also coordinated perfectly with our photographer to make every moment perfect! From our introduction to our last dance, Steve was upbeat, friendly and played a great variety of music of all types, trusting him with our special day was a great choice!

I can't say enough good things about Our Amps Go To 11. Steve played songs for our outdoor wedding ceremony as well as our reception. Not only does Steve keep the dance floor packed by playing the latest and greatest dance songs as well as the most favorite songs from the past but Steve goes out of his way to help out with anything he can. He helped organize a time with Roary of the Detroit Lions as to what time Roary should show up for our reception as a surprise, he started a video projector for me in the hall to show a short video that I made, he even helped our groomsmen load up a trailer of folding chairs that we used for the reception that I didn't even know he helped with until the next day. LOOK NO FURTHER AND HIRE "OUR AMPS GO TO 11" You will NOT be disappointed!!!

Steve is a great DJ. He practiced intros before meeting is and was super prepared and organized. He made the night flow smoothly and made sure that everyone had fun!

I am constantly researching trends for reception formats, how I can improve the appearance of the setup, as well as staying up on music whether its radio play or on youtube.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love music, gadgets, and making people happy. I can honestly say I have never had a Bridezilla and that is because they understand I am going to give them exactly everything they expect, and more.

The most common types of jobs I do are weddings.
