Introduction: I am an SAT tutor, with specialty in the Critical Reading and Writing sections, and have helped students increase their scores by up to 200 points. My scores were in the 99th percentile and I was a National Merit Scholar. I also offer tutoring in PSAT, ACT, SAT Subject tests in Literature, Biology, and History, and subject tutoring in English, History, Math, Biology, as well as essay editing services for high school and college papers and college application essays. Piyali is an incredible editor and tutor. She edited my essay for a very important scholarship through Princeton to work and research in Peru for the year. Her edits made me see sentence structure and clarity issues in my writing that I hadn't seen when I reviewed my essay. What's more, I know that Piyali was in Fordham University's Honors Program, a very rigorous academic program that requires much diligence, patience, and attention to detail. I would recommend Piyali for tutoring. She helped on SAT prep this time but I would consider her for other tests as well as for writing help. While her stated strength was verbal, she was well qualified for math as well. Her strength was her teaching style; coaching to bring out the abilities and addressing the weaknesses at the root of issues. She had a calm demeanor but was still very intensive in honing into key subject areas and coaching test taking skill sets.

Piyali helped me with my college Philosophy 1000 assignments online and it took about one hour. She provided excellent service even when I came to her last minute.
