About
I can't speak about what other instructors do but it is important for everyone to fill out a profile. The training is flexible enough for everyone to fulfill their needs. If someone needs fitness, they'll get it. If someone needs to get a little deeper into some of the principles we can do that. If one is looking for more empowerment or confidence to handle their lives in a non combative situation then they will learn that. It is my goal not to fit everyone into the same pattern. I like to see people improve. It is always a great day to see a client accomplish something that had previously been challenging. When I see become more confident and they are able to shed the scars of a previous trauma, I am happy and humbled. I like having the ability to give my clients an outlet so that they can manage their regular lives more effectively.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Pricing is simple. If you choose group training the price $60/session for a minimum of 2 sessions per week and a minimum of 4 months of training. Months are all paid up front. Afterwards, we go to a month to month scenario. In-home is the same set-up except the price is $120/session.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Continuing education is an important part of my practice as a teacher. Usually, I spend between 100-140 hours per year attending continuing education course in fitness, functional movement, and self-defense. This does not include the time spent reading and reviewing videos. If I stop learning as an instructor, then my growth also stagnates.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Anyone should come with an open mind, but also be prepared to ask questions about what the program is about. Understand the time commitment that it takes to achieve sustainable gains in health and fitness. Make an investment in yourself and demand that you learn proper exercise technique. Never rate the success of the training by how hard it was to get out of bed. Longevity at this stage is more important than intensity.
