We are a full-service jeweler providing on-site appraisals and repairs, sales, custom design, consignments, and much more. Come visit us to see for yourself! Custom jewelry design: We use a combination of local and metropolitan area-based jewelers and jewelry designers. If your needs are as simple as replacing a missing gemstone, or as involved as a special custom designed piece, we have adequate resources to supply a superior finished product. Jewelry consignment: We are excited to have the opportunity to represent and sell your jewelry items! Consignment items will be evaluated in person at no cost to you. You, the consignor, will receive 60% of the selling price of your item(s). Checks are mailed out the 8th day of the month following the month that your item sells. So, if a ring sells for $100 in January, a check will be mailed to you on February 8th in the amount of $60.00. Contract period: The contract period for jewelry consignment items is more flexible than the home furnishing items contracts. You are not required to pick up your jewelry at the end of the four month period unless the jewelry staff feels that it has not been receiving much response while on consignment. Please call us at the end of your contract period to discuss whether or not we recommend leaving your items with us for a longer amount of time. Condition of consignments: In order for Precious Gems & Jewelry to be able to represent the jewelry consignment items, the jewelry must be in good condition. If any of the jewelry items need repair work or refurbishing in order to be consigned, we will quote an estimate of work needed, which can be completed by our on-site jeweler and must be paid in full by the consignor before the jewelry is displayed in our showcases. Appraisals service: We have over 20 years of experience in the jewelry industry. Working in collaboration with Precious Gems & Jewelry is a GIA Graduate Gemologist who implements industry-standard methods and equipment in identifying and grading gemstones. Appraisals can be done while you wait with an appointment. Or, if it is more convenient, your appraisal items may be left at the store and picked up at a later date with the finished appraisal documents. Call for rates, as they vary depending on the complexity of the piece and the number of items being appraised, and also on the type of evaluation needed.
