BJ was the perfect piano teacher for our girls. She provided them with a strong music-theory background, artistic interpretation of the piano pieces and a deep love for music that has carried them on through high school band and choir. BJ understands the fine balance of motivation, direction as well as discipline. She is the piano teacher I wish I had growing up. Needless to say, we would HIGHLY recommend BJ as a piano teacher!

Piano with BJ has been a great gift to my family. Not only has BJ taught my girls a love of music, but she has taught them the language of music. Through theory instruction, playing time at the piano, and encouragement to press on through the tough times of learning the piano, my girls have developed a skill and love of playing that I believe they will use for the rest of their lives. BJ has also gone the extra mile in helping my oldest daughter, who is interested in music composition, to pursue that dream.

Ms. Harman is a fantastic music teacher. She's adaptable to student needs, responsive to questions, and driven without taking the joy out of music. Recommend her wholeheartedly, as she's taught both my boys who have very different learning styles with equal enthusiam. Neither of my sons have received a grade lower than Superior Plus at competitions and recitals. Highly recommend.

Mrs. Harman is truly above and beyond!! She is always encouraging, patient, and loving to her students. She finds ways to inspire them to excel in music. She offers composition club, music club and other fun activities besides regular lessons. Both my kids love her so much that they look forward to the piano lessons. She is the best piano teacher around! We are blessed to have her teach our children music.

I teach private piano lessons, play the organ for church services, play piano for choirs, orchestra and band contests, and play keyboard in worship bands.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice is to identify your goals in playing piano and try to find a teacher who is compatible with your goals. A teacher who is part of a music teacher's organization will have lots of great resources as well.
