FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Playing the piano has always been my love and passion. When I began working at preschools and teaching children's classes at my church, I began to realize how much I loved teaching and wanted to share what I have learned with others. I love working with kids, and majored in elementary education and piano in college. Combing my love for music with my love for teaching seemed a natural fit!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are no shortcuts to becoming a pianist. A good teacher will take the time needed to set a good theory foundation so the student can achieve their goals. Taking the time needed to ensure the student can read notes well, have correct rhythm, and understand theory concepts early on will benefit them greatly later and aid them in learning faster.
