About Professional Dealer And Player School, Inc.

We provide a six(6) week course that will teach you all the aspects of becoming a professional poker dealer, and be able to work anywhere in the United States, not just in Florida.

The course is 4 hours long, 4 days a week, from Monday through Thursday for 6 weeks. We hold two classes to fit around people who have current jobs. A morning class from 10 am to 2 pm, and a night class from 6 pm to 10 pm.

    Professionally Trained (Our instructors are poker dealers, Dual-Rate Floor Managers & Full-Time Floor Managers).
    Our Poker Dealer Curriculum is extensive!
    You will be trained on card handling, shuffling, pitching and card placement. You will learn how to read cards and their proper ranking.
    You will learn chip handling, cutting chips, chip transactions, and buying chips from chip runners.
    You will learn how to deal several games: 7 – Card Stud, 7 – Stud Eight or Better, Texas Hold’em, Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple, Omaha, Omaha Eight or Better, Razz, Rotation Games, and Tournaments.
    You will learn all the terminology used in dealing and playing poker.
    You will be given the proper training aides: cards, chips, cut-card, and classroom hand-outs..
    You will be learning in a Poker Room like atmosphere, experiencing the uniqueness of the gaming industry.
    You will have 100 % access to the school, (during normal hours) until you are hired as a dealer.
    We will provide you with Job Placement Support thru our knowledge of Poker Room Staff, Internet Web Sites, and Resume building.
    You will be prepared and your skills will be perfected for your Audition. All Poker Rooms audition for Poker Dealer positions. YOU WILL BE READY!!!!!!!!!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our school pays attention to detail. We teach procedures, procedures, procedures. Our school knows what Poker Room Managers are looking for.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love taking a fresh student and watching them grow into a professional poker dealer.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Being a Poker Dealer is an exciting job, but you have to be able to multi-task and be able to do basic math.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I use to play poker at Mohegan Sun, in Uncasville, CT and a dealer once told me that I should become a dealer. He told me I had a good sense of the cards, hands and betting structures and said I would make a good poker dealer.
