- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was on the verge of my first investment with income property before I realized no software solution provided the ease in management (of those properties); I was shocked that there wasn't much out there to make income property investing simpler and more fruitful, so I called up a software developer to ask about my options, and a long-winded discussion turned into a business plan aimed at solving the property management gaps that resulted from the industry's slow adaptation to technology... Considering the shift in the real estate environment, we saw a great time to add efficiency to property management.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for customer service, usability, and great accounting features. Remember: it doesn't matter how great the software is, if you can't use it.
