As a professional dancer and performer, I am greatly inspired by movement and music. Painting acts as another outlet for me to reach a new audience and express myself artistically. Be as specific and descriptive as possible. If you are picturing a green background be sure to tell the artist and specify what shade of green is floating in your mind. Often people don't realize they had a specific thing in mind till they see that the finished product is not quite what they were imagining.
