We were looking for a gardener to overhaul our backyard in advance of our home wedding. Although Pete found me on Thumbtack, turns out that he does several houses in our neighborhood.
He came by to take a look at our backyard so that he could put an estimate/proposal together, free of charge. The estimate was reasonable, and he was very nice, so we decided to hire him.
We love our backyard! It looks completely different and only took two days. Pete and his crew did a very thorough cleanup of our neglected plant beds and overgrown ivy. They removed some plants we didn't like, moved around others that we wanted to keep, planted flowers and put down mulch. They even built a chuppah for our wedding!
We are very pleased with his work, and he even offered to come by right before the wedding to make sure that everything is perfect. That's great customer service.

I couldn't be happier with Pete the Garden Man. Our project came out very well, with a nice selection and arrangement of plants on our steeply terraced San Francisco hillside-for-a-yard. Pete's crew valiantly trimmed a difficult tree to bring in sunlight.
Pete was responsive by phone and email, competitively priced, and easy to work with on site. His quote included species names and thumbnails of the selected plants, allowing us to quickly visualize the work he had in mind and to look them up in Wikipedia :) Pete is an artist with plants.
Our quote included a 30-day checkup to make sure plants have taken. We are going to hire Pete for semi-annual followups after this successful project. Highly recommended for your garden needs!

I have a small garden that somehow got really over grown during the winter. I looked every where for someone who could clean up my garden and do some lighting and drip system installation.
I had such a hard time trying to find someone who would call me back or willing to do a smaller, non-landscape installation job- that is until I came across Pete! Pete not only accepted the job, but he and his team were prompt, courteous, flexible and well priced. They made my garden beautiful again and I am now looking to have them come back seasonally to help me maintain the beauty of my garden!

Pete was awesome. He showed up as promised, did a review of the garden (which was a disaster from the previous owner), gave me a quote, negotiated fairly, and honored the estimate with a great result. The backyard looks terrific.
