- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a free trial lesson and a three-month introductory rate of just $25 per lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of a number of professional organizations including the Austin District Music Teacher Association (where I serve on the Executive Board), the Texas Music Teacher Association, Music Teacher National Association and the International Association of Women in Music. All of these organizations offer workshops, conferences and publications devoted to the latest technologies, music education theories and topics of special interest to teachers. I take full advantage of my membership including attendance at the local monthly workshops and programs. I continually strive to learn how I can be an even better teacher.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I recommend that they not only check references but ask the teacher for a free trial lesson. They need to see the teacher in person, inspect the teaching space for cleanliness and experience first hand how that teacher does her job. I offer all prospective students a free, no-obligation trial lesson.
