FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography is the only thing I have ever wanted to do... It is the only thing I have ever done.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your homework... Compare apples to apples and make sure to have a few conversations with your photographer. Personality is a huge part of the experience.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Most people practicing portrait and wedding photography are not photographers... They are hobbyists who have purchased cameras and are calling themselves photographers. The big difference comes from the consistancy. A true professional will achieve a 30%-50% success rate (per frame). A hobbyist, however, will only achieve a 3%-10% success rate. On a portrait assignment, this may be acceptable... BUT, most certainly not at a wedding.
