Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Weddings, Vow renewals, Funerals, counseling, and wedding planning
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Ask traveling Officiants if they charge mileage because most do and it can add up to a hearty fee.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I really enjoy creating the ceremony that the clients want. I love to include different cultural elements along with old traditions to make the perfect memory.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. A wedding day is always a happy and joyous occasion, so it is such a pleasure to be apart of families having one the most memorable moments in life.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. An Officiant is not a religious title nor is a Minister. Anyone can minister to anyone and it requires no degree as a Pastor of a Church is required to have. I am ordained by a Church ( credentials are registered) that encompasses all religions and I do believe that religion should not divide people, but bring them closer together for a common good and sense of peace. I myself am NON RELIGIOUS but will and can accommodate all/any cultural customs desired. I am also same sex marriage friendly and have done many lovely ceremonies for the gay community.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I got my degree in Psychology/Human services and wanted to do something positive and something I enjoyed. I love to do pre-marital counseling and meet new people on such a happy day.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I have a Psychology degree in human services and I like to attend local wedding shows to keep up on the new trends and colors of the up and coming wedding season.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. My greatest strength is making couple feel at ease, and comfortable during the sometimes stressful time. I always try to listen and give the couple the ceremony they have always wanted and guide them so the ceremony is special and interactive. i have endless ideas for the couples who want to be different, and I also love to bring in old ceremony traditions, such as hand-fasting, to give couples a unique experience!
