FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I keep up to date on the latest top 40 hits from the US as well as the UK. I research what is trending online and I also consult and take lessons with more experienced DJ's.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You want a DJ who can read the crowd. When you meet with a DJ for a consultation and they don't seem like a good listener, then they probably won't be "listening" to their audience when they're spinning their tunes. Make sure they are paying attention to what you want and need.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
DJ's, MC's and event coordinators tag-team the event. The DJ controls the front end with the mic and the music while the Coordinator works the back-end to make sure the logistics are taken care of. If one is weak, the other usually picks up after them. If both are good, then you will barely notice that they're even there.
