FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education should never end in my line of work. Photography is a technology-driven career, and technology is forever changing. There are always ways to improve skill within the photography industry. Whether it's a new piece of gear or a new way to use an old piece of gear! I attend the world's largest photography convention and expo every year: WPPI in Las Vegas. While there, I take courses taught by the leaders in photography, participate in workshops where I can test out my new skills, explore the expo for exciting new gear and products I can add to my business and provide as options to my clients, and network with my peers (over the years I've learned more from them and their experiences than any textbook or class!). Locally, I attend at least 2 photography class/networking events a month in Atlanta and middle GA. I also routinely watch CreativeLIVE, a live online streaming program that teaches several different aspects of photography. And most of all, I organize several styled shoots a year to both help local vendors showcase their work/products and to practice techniques on a non-paying client (I don't like to try out new things on people who've entrusted me with their images.). Here is just a sneak peek into my continuing education: Search "never-stop-learning-never-stop-growing-business-atlanta-ga-wedding-photographer" on the blog to see more!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am primarily a wedding and couples photographer. All my wedding collections come with an engagement session. I photograph love sessions for couples and married couples wanting to document their love. Beyond weddings and love sessions, my next most photographed sessions are boudoir-based. Whether it's for a "little black book" for a bride to give her groom or for a girlfriend/wife to give her soldier returning from deployment...even some shoots solely for empowering women! I also accept a limited amount of family portrait sessions per month.
