Joel is a genius. Seriously-a genius. His mind works in ways you can't even imagine..which is exactly why you should hire him. Big budget, no budget-he finds a way to make things feel fresh, new and totally unique. He's a master with color and space --and I'm super sensitive to both of these elements--he's able to move things around in a way that creates nooks, rooms--I'm telling you --GENIUS in every sense of the word. The correlations he sees with your space and your life are not the obvious things like if your house is messy so is your life--his insights come from a place few of us are in touch with. His delivery is always direct and compassionate and his prices are very fair considering his talent and the investment he makes in his projects. I've worked with some wonderful designers for personal space as well as restaurants and nightclubs-Joel is different. He comes from a place of deeply authentic sincerity-his life and work are inspired by something very special and pure--like I said, a true genius.

Joel Baldazo was a Godsend for our life, not just our home. Initially, we were concerned about working with a designer because of the potential cost of purchasing new furniture, art, and, of course, his time. However, Joel did an amazing job with the items we already had in our home. He has a special talent of looking at a space and being able to rearrange furniture and accessories that just works. Space planning and arrangement are a dramatic part for any design. Being able to utilize existing furniture and accessories makes Joel's time well worth it. Additionally, he does a terrific job at finding just the right pieces to help accentuate the design you're looking for. We were able to achieve a complete make over without breaking the bank. His vendors love him, which means more savings for you. He doesn't settle on just anything, which means perfection for your home. It's a joy to come home to such an amazing space every day and we have Joel to thank for that. We highly recommend his services.

It's not complicated, I charge by the hour, the day or week. If the project is going to take longer, that is discussed at that point.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I read a lot and I also keep up with the latest trends and design. When I don't know something I make sure to research it and or talk to those who specialize in that field so that I may have an informed mind and the information I need. I don't know it all, but I like to know a little bit about everything.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mom was a designer and my entire life I was around it, she got so much pleasure and joy from helping her friends and clients that I wanted to do the same thing. I have and I do love and enjoy my work. Seeing client's faces and hearing how happy they are with the finished product makes it all worthwhile for me.
