FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Eduaction in 2011 and a Master's degree in Language, Literature, and Translation in 2016. I have been teaching for 6 years (5 years Spanish and 1 year English in South America). I currently teach high school Spanish, interpret at a medical clinic, and freelance translate.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with the Spanish language. I wanted to be able to pass this passion onto others, and be part of creating an increasingly global society. I became involved with translating and interpreting while living in Mexico. A group of students who did not speak Spanish arrived in the town where I was staying and we were able to help them communicate with the locals. I quickly knew that this was something that I wanted to pursue.
