- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always ask for samples of the artists work. Review their website or ask for example caricatures to be emailed for further consideration. Do you want the caricaturist to work in color, or black in white? B/W cost less in most cases. How many people will be attending the event and how long will the cartoonist be working? Consider that each caricature may take from 4-5 minutes each to complete; therefore, a yield of 12-15+ drawings per hour is a good estimate. If you are planning on a large number of guests you should consider black and white caricatures. Consider the style of the caricature rendition as a profile or full front version? The profile image is usually the style best suited for large party settings because more drawings per hour can be produced. After all your budget determines the style and color of your cartoon caricatures.
