Excellent swim instructor for our 4 year old daughter who is very timid. She has only had a few lessons, but Colleen has had success getting her to try to float on her back.

Colleen Sweeney taught all three of my children to swim, but most importantly, to be water safe. My eldest children (now 12 & 9) had been traumatized by a swim teacher and were terrified to even go in the water. Much to my amazement, she had them smiling and paddling by the first lesson. The 9 year old now wants to try water polo and surfing. Our 4 year old is now skilled enough to be working on strokes (freestyle & breast stroke are her favorites) and she jumps off the diving board and can swim unassisted to the other end of the Olympic size pool and pull herself out. Colleen's style is relaxed and fun, never harsh or rough. She does push them to do what she believes they are capable of and their confidence is boosted when they surprise themselves. Great, great teacher!

Colleen is the BEST!!!! My daughter has been swimming with Colleen since for 6 years. Colleen gave my daughter the confidence to learn basic swimming skills and now my daughter is on a swim team and loving the sport. Colleen loves the children and really gets to know their personality and individual spirit. She customizes her lessons based on their level of skill, using motivational tools that are specific to the child. Can't say enough about her heart and her talents as a teacher. Best in town!

Colleen has been doing a great job with my daughter and we are looking forward to getting her in private lessons. The group lessons were a great way to introduce her, but I think she does best when she gets a block of time.
