FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Before starting this business, I was a veterinary technician in the US Army for almost three full years. I served in clinical practices in Osan, South Korea and in Fort Knox, KY. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience working with people and their pets in clinical practice that when I discovered the dog waste removal service industry, I knew I had a niche. Most people don't like cleaning up dog poop and they certainly don't like stepping in it. The unfortunate thing about ignoring the problem is that it becomes harmful for children, pets, and the environment. Our passion is helping people take better care of their family and pets by removing the chief burden of pet ownership.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of the time, I clean up dog waste from yards in Bullitt, Hardin, Jefferson, LaRue, Meade, and Nelson Counties. The second most requested job is in-home pet sitting. I travel to my customers' homes in Hardin County and provide care to their companion animals. Infrequently, I am asked to transport pets to groomer or veterinarian appointments.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the person you are hiring shares your passion for animals. Not only one who will serve your pets with the same passion but one who shares your values. Don't hire someone just because they have a better price than another company. This is a luxury service and you will get what you pay for.
