FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture which requires continuing education throughout the year to maintain. We also provide continuing education to our crew members to help build their skills.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The lawn industry has a lot of one-man-and-a-truck "companies." From our experience, they tend to fall into two categories: A) The unreliable, non-professional. These "companies" are not companies at all. Many fail to maintain adequate insurance or follow the various legal requirements, including tax and labor laws. Their equipment is often poorly maintained and the crew members have difficulty communicating with the customer. 2) The Professional Owner-Operator. These guys know lawns and they do a quality job. They have decent equipment which they maintain themselves. These companies can be great for the customers lucky enough to get on their schedule. Often times, their downfall is that they cannot keep up with demand. These guys are great at lawn care, not business. As they grow it becomes harder to answer each phone call and return each email. By offering too many services sometimes the quality goes down. ---------------- The Family Lawn is a small company that gives personalized attention. We follow all applicable laws and carry $2M in insurance. Our equipment is top-notch. Our crews are trained and become specialist for each lawn task. We've created systems and software to improve our customer's experience and give the results they expect.
